On 28 May 2018 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on bridge strengthening works) on Gartgill Road, Coatbridge from a point 740 metres or thereby north westwards of the extended line of the northern kerb of Gartsherrie Road to a point 500 metres or thereby south eastwards from the extended line of the eastern kerb of Wilton Street by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative Routes: Vehicles will be diverted via Gartgill Road, Gartsherrie Road, Lomond Road, Wilton Street and Gartgill Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

The Order which will only be effective when signage is in place, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Sunday, 10 June 2018 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Saturday, 6 October 2018.
