On 3 April 2018 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on sewer repair works) on St Mary’s Road, Bellshill from the extended western kerb line of Park Gate Place, westwards to the extended eastern kerb of Lauranne Place by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative Routes: Vehicles on the west side of the closure wishing to access the east side of the closure should proceed northwards on St Mary’s Road, eastwards on Locket Yett View and then southwards on St Mary’s Road to the east side of the closure.

Vehicles on the east side of the closure wishing to access the west side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation at 0800 hours on Monday, 16 April 2018 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday, 6 May 2018.
