Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate road resurfacing works Barleyknowe Road will be closed from the junctions with Greenhall Road and Lady Brae. The Order which has a maximum duration of 18 months has effect from 9 September 2019 and it is expected that work will take about 3 weeks to complete. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffic will be via Greenhall Road, Greenhall Crescent, Hunterfield Road, Main Street, Station Road and Lady Brae Gorebridge.
