Temporary Road Closure - Abbey Road at Newbattle Road - Midlothian Archived

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate Scotland Gas Networks upgrade works Abbey Road will be closed at the junction with Newbattle Road. The Order which has a maximum duration of 18 months has effect from 2 September 2019 and it is expected that works will take about 4 weeks to complete. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffic will be via Abbey Road, Lothian Road, Buccleuch Street, Eskbank Road and Newbattle Road.
