Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate SGN mains renewal works Polton Bank will be closed between Stevenson Place and Polton Cottages. The Order which has a maximum duration of 18 months has effect from 3 December 2018 and it is expected that work will take about 3 weeks to complete. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffic will be via Polton Road, A768 Lasswade Road, A768 Wadingburn Road, High Street, Church Street, Polton Road.
