TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION ORDER - 2018
ROSLIN REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE
Midlothian Council have made the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, will come into force on Sunday 11th November 2018 between 10.15am and 12.30pm and have an effect only as long as it takes the procession to pass through each junction and when the participants have passed through each one along the route, normal traffic movement will be resumed. The restriction is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the Roslin Remembrance Day parade.
When the Order comes into effect the restriction will be enforced as the procession moves along the following roads:
Wallace Crescent from Royal British Legion to B7006 Main Street
B7006 Main Street from Wallace Crescent to B7006 Penicuik Road
B7006 Penicuik Road from B7006 Main Street to Roslin Kirk
The roads are being restricted for road safety reasons.
The road restrictions will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs or under the instruction of a police officer in uniform.
Emergency vehicles attending an emergency call are exempt from this order.
During the event, local access will be retained for residents along the affected routes.
No alternative route signing will be provided during these road restrictions.
