Newton Church Road, Danderhall - Midlothian Archived

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate gas main renewal and reinforcement work Newton Church Road will be closed between A7 Old Dalkeith Road and Edmonstone Road. The closure will be in 3 phases and on a rolling programme under direction of Scotland Gas Network. The Order which has a maximum duration of 18 months has effect from 2 July 2018 and it is expected that work will take about 10 weeks to complete. Pedestrian access will be maintained. The alternative route for general vehicular traffic will be via A7 Old Dalkeith Road, The Wisp and Edmonstone Road.

 

Phase 1 : Newton Church Road – A7 Old Dalkeith Road to Maulsford Avenue

 

Phase 2 : Newton Church Road – Maulsford Avenue to Forthview Crescent

 

Phase 3 : Newton Church Road – Forthview Crescent to Edmonstone Road

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Midlothian Council has made a temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 prohibiting waiting, loading and unloading in Newton Church Road between A7 Old Dalkeith Road and Edmonstone Road from 2 July 2018. The extent of the restrictions are detailed below and will be on a rolling programme under direction of Scotland Gas Network. The restrictions are necessary to facilitate gas main renewal and reinforcement work. The work is expected to take 10 weeks to complete.

Campview - From Newton Church Road to junction at 6 Campview (both kerblines)
