Order 2020
On the 5th June 2020 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access on a section of Springfield Road, Barrhead to facilitate the safe operation of essential Scottish Water utility works scheduled to be carried out on or near this road.
The Order authorises the closure of Springfield Road between its junctions with Springhill Road and Balgraystone Road and will be in operation for up to 7 weeks from Monday 22 June until Monday 10 August 2020.
Pedestrian access and access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be permitted at all times. Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time.
Alternative Route: Springhill Road – Ralston Road – Main Street – Aurs Road – Springfield Road and vice-versa.
