Order 2019

On the 7 June 2019 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to facilitate safe access for large works related vehicles, including material delivery vehicles, to land adjacent to Chappell Street Barrhead in connection with an essential sewer utility scheme planned to commence on or near the road.

The Order will permit the temporary suspension of parking on the following sections of Chappell Street and Levern Gardens when yellow ‘No Waiting’ cones have been set out:
From a distance of 45m west of its junction with Cross Arthurlie Street for 40m or thereby on the north side of the road and for 72m or thereby on the south side of the road and continuing for approximately 10m into Levern Gardens.

Whilst the Order will be in effect for up to a maximum duration of 18 months, as permitted by legislation, the works are scheduled to commence on 24 June 2019 and will take approximately 12 weeks to complete.
