Order 2019

On the 5 June 2019 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access to Bank Street, Barrhead to facilitate the safe operation of essential Scottish Gas utility works being carried out on or near the road.
 
The Order will permit the closure of Bank Street over its full length, from Main Street to Lowndes Street, from Friday 14 June until Wednesday 7 August 2019 or on the completion of the works if sooner.

Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure will be permitted by the contractor on site either via Main Street or Lowndes Street and only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Pedestrian access will be unaffected.

Alternative Routes: Main Street – Arthurlie street – Lowndes Street and vice-versa or Main Street – Ralston Road – Cloth Street – Lowndes Street and vice-versa.
