The East Renfrewshire Council
(Roebank Drive, Arthurlie Avenue and Newton Avenue, Barrhead)
(Temporary Waiting and Restriction to Use of Roads)
Order 2017

On the 15th June 2017 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order, which is valid from Monday 3rd July until Friday 14th July 2017 or on completion of the works if sooner, has been promoted to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works on Roebank Drive, Arthurlie Avenue and Arthurlie Street, Barrhead whilst ensuring the safety of the workers carrying out the works and of the general public.

The Temporary Order authorises the closure of Roebank Drive over its entire length, Arthurlie Avenue from Roebank Drive to Aurs Glen and Newton Avenue from Roebank Drive to its junction with Divernia Way.

The Temporary Order also authorises the suspension of on street parking within 10 meters of the junctions of Weir Avenue with Arthurlie Avenue and Arthurlie Street when indicated by the display of No Waiting cones placed at these junctions. The suspension of parking is necessary to facilitate the safe use of the junctions by vehicles, particularly buses and other large vehicles, diverted as a result of the road closure.

Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure will be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Pedestrian access will be unaffected.

Details of the restriction and alternative routes can be found on the attached copy of the Notice of Order.
