Temporary road restrictions: Glen Street, Barrhead
In order to facilitate bridge replacement works on Glen Street, Barrhead a Temporary Restriction to Use of Road Order has been promoted. The Order will permit the closure of a section of Glen Street, Barrhead to vehicular and pedestrian traffic to ensure the safety of the general public and for those carrying out the works.
The closure of Glen Street will extend from the junction with Church Road, Barrhead to the junction with Carlibar Road, Barrhead.The closure will be in operation for up to 198 days from Monday 6th March 2017 until Saturday 30th September 2017 or on completion of the works if sooner. Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure will only be possible from Carlibar Road; there will be no access from Church Road. Pedestrian access will be affected across the bridge only but alternative routes will be provided.
