It is the council’s intention to upgrade the footway on the High Street from the junction with Kilwinning Place to the pedestrian crossing at the Clydesdale Bank. This work will commence on Sunday 23rd June 2019 and will take up to two weeks to complete, weather permitting. The old footway surface will be removed on Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th June with a new bituminous surface being installed in phases over the duration of the works in order to minimise disruption and maintain access to premises.
To undertake this work safely, it will be necessary to install a traffic and pedestrian management system, no parking will be permitted on the adjacent layby section.
The extents of the resurfacing works are shown on the attached plan, drawing number EL19765027/001.
