East Lothian Council (Neilson Park Road, Victoria Road and Wemyss Place, Haddington) (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) Order 2018 - East Lothian Archived

East Lothian Council recently advertised the intent to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 3 and Parts III and V of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prohibit the driving of vehicles during school term times at various times of the day on Neilson Park Road, Victoria Road, Wemyss Place, Haddington.

The period for lodging any comments / objections expired on 23 February 2018.

No objections were received to the proposal and accordingly the Council have confirmed the Order and it will come into force on 5 March 2018

A copy of the Order together with a map showing the road affected, a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order and copies of all relevant documents may be examined from 5 March 2018 during normal office hours at Reception desk, John Muir House, Haddington however they are also available on www.tellmescotland.gov.uk

Any person may question the validity of the Order or any of it’s provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that a requirement of the Act or relevant regulations have not been complied with, by making application to the Court of Session within 6 weeks of the order being made.
