East Ayrshire Council (A719, Waterside and Moscow) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022 - East Ayrshire Archived

On 28/06/22 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle or for any person to travel on either

1. the A719 Waterside from 88m north of Fenwick Road northwards to the A77
2. the A719 Moscow from 300m north of the C33 Firpark southwards for 700m

(exemptions apply for a) pedestrians or vehicles engaged in the resurfacing works b) pedestrians or vehicles seeking access to premises within the closed roads and c) emergency service vehicles), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.

The Order shall come into force at 18:01 hrs on 01/07/22 until 18:00 hrs on 29/07/22, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier. 

The two road closures will be implemented sequentially, with works currently programmed to be fully completed by 22/7/22 and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

Alternative Route: for both closures the diversion will be signed via A77, B778 to Fenwick, B7038 Main Road and Glasgow Road to Kilmarnock, B7064 Western Road, B7081 Irvine Road, B7064 to Moorfield Roundabout, A71 to Bellfield Roundabout, A71 to Galston to A719 and vice versa
