On 16/11/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of facilitating the laying of BT ducting to be executed on or near the road.
This Order makes it unlawful-
1. for any vehicle to wait at any time on either side of B7083 Main Rd, Auchinleck, from its junction with Well Rd south-eastwards to the Garage opposite No. 2 Main Rd.
2. for any vehicle to wait at any time on either side of or for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Well Rd, Auchinleck, from its junction with Main Rd north-eastwards to its junction with the service road to St. Patrick’s Primary School. Diversion routes: via School Rd, B705 Sorn Rd, B7083 Main Rd and vice versa; OR via Well Rd, Heathfield Rd, School Rd, B705 Sorn Rd and B7083 Main Rd, OR via B7083 Main Rd (low bridge 14’ 6”/4.4m), Coal Rd, Barbieston Rd, Back Rogerton Cres, Church St and Well Rd.
Exempt from road closure – vehicles engaged in the BT works. Emergency vehicles and vehicles requiring access to properties within the closed road will ONLY be permitted access via the northeast side of Well Rd and NOT via Main Rd.
Exempt from waiting restriction – vehicles engaged in the BT works and emergency vehicles.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
The Order shall come into force at 08:00 hrs on 01/12/21 until 18:00 hrs on 14/12/21, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
