East Ayrshire Council (C3 Stair to Mauchline) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2021 - East Ayrshire Archived

On 19/10/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on C3 Stair to Mauchline, from B730 Stair eastwards to the road end to Stairhill Farm, Mauchline (except vehicles engaged on the Scottish Water works), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.

The Order shall come into force at 08:00 hrs on 01/11/21 until 17:00 hrs on 17/12/21, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

It is anticipated at this time that the works will be undertaken in phases on or between the following dates but advance signing will be erected on site to inform the traveling public of the times and dates of each road closure. Every effort will be made to keep the closures to a minimum but dates may need to change as works progress because the works are weather dependent.

C3 STAIR TO MAUCHLINE CLOSED IN PHASES

1. C3 - from its junction with B730 at Stair eastwards for 678 m. From 08:00 hrs on Mon 01/11/21 until 17:00 hrs on Sun 14/11/21;

2. C3 - from a point 678 m east of its junction with B730 at Stair eastwards for 660 m. From 08:00 hrs on Mon 15/11/21 until 17:00 hrs on Fri 26/11/21;

3. C3 - from a point 1338 m east of its junction with B730 at Stair eastwards for 557 m. From 08:00 hrs on Fri 26/11/21 until 17:00 hrs on Thurs 09/12/21, and

4. C3 - from a point 1895 m east of its junction with B730 at Stair eastwards for 262 m. From 08:00 hrs on Thurs 09/12/21 until 17:00 hrs on Fri 17/12/21.

   Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closure will be permitted to and from their properties.

    

   Emergency access and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.

   Alternative Route: via southwards on the B730, A70 to Ochiltree and northwards on the C49 and vice versa.
