On 22/12/20 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any lengths of roads on the days and during the times stated below, by reason of facilitating resurfacing works to be executed on or near the road.
ROAD CLOSURES
A735, Kilmaurs (daily from 09:00 hours until 16:00 hours) - from Wed 06/01/21 until Fri 15/01/21.
From its junction with Standalane to Brackenburn Bridge at the boundary with North Ayrshire.
Alternative Route: via A735 to Stewarton (low Bridge 15’ 0”/4.6 m), B769, B778 to Fenwick and B751 to Kilmaurs and vice versa.
A735, Lugton (daily from 09:00 hours until 16:00 hours) - from Mon 18/01/21 until Fri 22/01/21.
From its junction with A736 Lochlibo Road to its junction with U29 Halket.
Alternative Route: via A736 to Auchentiber, B778 to Stewarton and A735 to Lugton (low Bridge in Dunlop 15’ 9”/4.8 m) and vice versa.
A759, Gatehead to Kilmarnock (daily from 09:00 hours until 16:00 hours) - from Mon 25/01/21 until Fri 05/02/21.
From its junction with U16 Gatehead to its junction with B7064 Kilmarnock.
Alternative Route: via A759 to Barassie, A78 to Irvine, A71 to Kilmarnock and B7064 and vice versa.
B7081 Irvine Road, Kilmarnock (daily from 08:00 hours until 18:00 hours) - from Sat 23/01/21 until Sun 24/01/21 and from Sat 30/01/21 until Sun 31/01/21.
From its junction with the roundabout at Troon Walk to its junction with Munro Ave.
Alternative Route: via Munro Ave, Western Rd, Hill St, Witch Rd, Dean Lane, High St, Green St, Sturrock St, Fowlds St, King St, St. Marnock St, Dundonald Rd, A759, B7064, A71 Moorfield roundabout, B7064 to Dalespark roundabout, OR
Via Irvine Rd to Dalespark roundabout, B7064, A71 Moorfield roundabout, B7064, A759, Dundonald Rd, John Finnie St, West George St, Portland St, Wellington St, Witch Rd, Hill St, Western Rd and Munro Ave.
Emergency access and vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closures will be permitted to and from their properties when it is safe to do so and when directed by a Traffic Marshal to go through the works site.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closures.
The Order shall come into force at 09:00 hrs on 06/01/21 until 16:00 hrs on 05/02/21, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
