On 19/11/19 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle or for any vehicle to wait on route B7083 from route A70 to Townhead St and Hamilton Pl in its entirety, Cumnock, by reason of holding the Christmas light switch on event on or near the roads.
The Order will be in force from 00:01 hrs until 24:00 hrs on 30/11/19, or until the event has come to an end whichever is earlier and will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Exempt Vehicles—
Emergency vehicles or vehicles being used by or on behalf of East Ayrshire Council in connection with the holding of the Christmas light switch on event.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
Alternative Route: via A70 Tanyard, A70 New Bridge St, B7046 Ayr Rd and B7083 Glaisnock Street.
