East Ayrshire Council (Route A70, Coalhall) (Temporary Road Closure and Prohibition of Waiting) (No. 2) Order 2019 - East Ayrshire Archived

On 16/07/19 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of resurfacing works to be executed on or near the road.

This Order makes it unlawful between 08:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs daily for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle or for any vehicle to wait on either side of the A70 from B730 (west of Coalhall over bridge) eastwards for 2.1km to the access to The Cottage, Drongan. Diversion via B730 Coalhall to Drongan, B7046 through Sinclairston and U728 Glenconner road to A70 at Mote Toll and vice versa.

The Order shall come into force at 08:00 hrs on 20/07/19 until 18:00 hrs on 21/07/19 or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

Please note that vehicular access onto the A70 during the road closure will be possible via the B730 (east of Coalhall over bridge) but only at times when it is safe to do so.

Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closures will be permitted to and from their properties when it is safe to do so but not through the works site.

Emergency access will be maintained during the closure and through the works site.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure.
