On 21/05/19 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which makes it unlawful from 06:00hrs until 21:00hrs for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Castle St and Cowgate, Mauchline or for any vehicle to wait on B743 High St from A76 to Mansefield Rd and Loudoun St from A76 south-westwards for 237m, Mauchline, except for vehicles engaged in delivering Mauchline Holy Fair event, for the purpose of facilitating the holding of a special event.
The Order is in force from 06:00 hrs until 21:00 hrs on 25/05/19 and will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency access and vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closures will be permitted to and from their properties.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
Castle St – Road Closure
Alternative Route: via A76 Kilmarnock Rd.
Cowgate – Road Closure
Alternative Route: via A76 Earl Grey St and B743 Loudoun St.
