On 12/03/19 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, made the above-named Order that continues the restrictions imposed by East Ayrshire Council (Assloss Road, Kilmarnock) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2018, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Assloss Rd, Kilmarnock, from a point 50m northwest of Assloss Bridge to a point 70m southwest of the bridge (except vehicles engaged on the bridge works), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.
This Order is in force from 24:00 hrs on 09/04/19 until 24:00 hrs on 29/04/19, or until the works are complete whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services vehicles and vehicles requiring access to properties within the closed road will be permitted but not through the actual works site.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
Alternative Route: via B7038 Glasgow Rd, U65 Crooksmill and Assloss Rd and vice versa.
