On 11/09/18 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Route B769 High Street, Stewarton, from Coopers Cres to Old Mill View (except vehicles engaged on Scottish Water’s Bridge pipe works), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.

 

The Order shall come into force at 00:01 hrs on 25/09/18 until 24:00 hrs on 02/11/18, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

 

Emergency access and vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closure will be permitted to and from properties but not through the actual works site.

 

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.

 

Alternative Route: via B769 to Newton Mearns, Barrhead Rd, Newton Mears, A77 to Fenwick and B778 to Stewarton and vice versa.
