On 12/09/17 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, as amended, and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to contravene the restrictions stated below from 00:01 hrs on 18/09/17 until 16:30 hrs on 22/12/17—

 

ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES AND PEDESTRIANS

Cross St, Galston from the boundary of No’s 11/13 Cross St to its junction with A719 Bridge St/Brewland St.

Diversion for vehicles is via A719 Polwarth St, A71 and Titchfield St and vice versa.

Diversion for pedestrians is via A719 Polwarth St and Church Lane and vice versa.

Diversion route recommended for HGVs is via A719, A77 to Bellfield Interchange, A76 and A719 and vice versa.

 

NO WAITING AT ANY TIME (on both sides of the road)

Cross St, Galston – from Church Lane to A719 Bridge St/Brewlands St;

A719 Bridge St, Glaston – from Cross St to A719 Polwarth St;

A719 Brewland St, Galston – from Chapel Lane to Cross St.

 

ONE WAY TRAFFIC (Eastbound)

A719 Bridge St and Brewland St, Galston – from Brewland St junction with Chapel Lane to Bridge St junction with Polwarth St.

Diversion for vehicles is via A719 Polwarth St, A71, Titchfield St and Orchard St and vice versa.

 

These restrictions are required to facilitate demolition works to be executed on or near the roads and all persons and vehicles contractually engaged in the demolition works will be exempt from the restrictions.

 

Every effort will be made to facilitate deliveries within the areas where waiting is prohibited but only when it is safe to do so.

 

The Order shall come into force at 00:01 hrs on 18/09/17 until 16:30 hrs on 22/12/17, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
