On 2/4/24 the Council made the DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (MARY ANN LANE, DUNDEE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic in Mary Ann Ln from its junction with Seagate for a distance of 140m or thereby in a southerly direction. The Order is operative for 15 weeks from 7/4/24 for the upgrading of a car hire business at the north end of Mary Ann Ln, with a maximum duration of 18 months. The terms of the Tayside Region (Dundee) (One-Way Traffic) (Consolidation) Order 1987 will require to be suspended where they relate to one-way traffic in Mary Ann Ln for the duration of the Order. Access and egress to residents car park at south end of Mary Ann Ln will be maintained from the south end at East Dock St. Alternative routes: (1) Seagate, Commercial St and Dock St and (2) Seagate, East Marketgait, A92 Dock St westbound, A991 Riverside Esplanade, A85 South Union St, A991 Thomson Ave and A92 Dock St eastbound.
