On 12/3/24 the Council made the DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (CONSTITUTION ROAD, DUNDEE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic in Constitution Rd from its junction with West Bell St to North Marketgait, including its westmost footway. The Order is operative from 18/3/24 for the redevelopment of Bell St Car Park and surrounding areas and is expected to be in force for 2 years. The eastmost footway of Constitution Rd (between West Bell St and North Marketgait) will remain open for the duration of the works. Other sections of footways and footpaths (of the car park estate) between North Marketgait and West Bell St (adjacent to Bell St Car Park) will be closed for the duration of the works. The 2 road accesses to Bell St Car Park will also be closed for the duration of the works. As this section of road form a cul-de -sac no diversion route is available.
