On 12/4/22 the Council made the DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (LONGHAUGH AREA, DUNDEE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2022 under Section 14(1) of the Rd Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will prohibit temporarily all (a) vehicular traffic in (1) Strathaven Tce between Fenwick Pl and Summerfield Ave, (2) Summerfield Ave northbound between Drumgeith Rd and Braefield Ln, (3) Whitfield Loan between Lothian Cr and Summerfield Tce, (4) Whitfield Rise between numbers 39 and 131, (5) Whitifield Ave between numbers 9 and 31, (6) Lothian Cr between Salton Cr and the entrance to North East Campus and (b) all pedestrian traffic (1) Summerfield Ave to Braefield Ln footpath, (2) Whitfield Loan to Whitfield Rise footpath, (3) Whitfield Rise footpath at numbers 26 to 40, (4) Whitfield Dr south footway between Whitfield Square and Murrayfield Gdns, (5) Whitfield Dr subway, (6) Whitfield Dr to Murrayfield Gdns footpath, (7) Whitfield Rise to Lothian Cr footpath and (8) Lothian Cr south footway between Salton Cr and Whitfield Loan. The Order is operative for 12 weeks from 18/4/22 for SSEN cable renewal works, with a maximum duration of 18 months. Alternative routes available for (a) vehicular traffic via (1) Summerfield Ave, Drumgeith Rd, Summerfield Ave and Fenwick Pl, (2) Drumgeith Rd and Summerfield Ave, (3) Whitfield Loan, Whitfield Dr and Lothian Cr, (4) no diversion available, (5) no diversion available and (6) Lothian Cr, Whitfield Dr, Whitfield Loan and Lothian Cr and for (b) pedestrian traffic via (1) Summerfield Ave, Braefield Gdns, Braefield Tce, Summerfield Tce and Whitfield Loan, (2) Whitfield Loan, Whitfield Dr and Whitfield Rise, (3) Whitfield Rise and Whitfield Dr, (4) Whitfield Dr north footway (temporary pedestrian crossing at east end of closure & permanent pedestrian crossing at west end of closure), (5) Whitfield Dr north footway/Whitfield Dr south footway (permanent pedestrian crossing used), (6) Number 22 Murrayfield Gdns to Whitfield Dr footpath, (7) Whitfield Loan - Whitfield Rise footpath, Whitfield Loan and Lothian Cr and (8) footpaths on south side between Salton Cr and Whitfield Loan).
