On 7/1/21 the Tay Road Bridge Joint Board made THE TAY ROAD BRIDGE (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2020 under Section 65 of the Schedule to the Tay Road Bridge Order Confirmation Act 1991 and Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order comes into effect on 12/1/21, and the effect of the Order will be to close the Tay Road Bridge temporarily between 0000 hrs and 0500 hrs on 12/1/21, 13/1/21 and 14/1/21 for the replacement of bridge joints. Its maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
