On 26/5/20 the Council made the DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (UNION STREET, DUNDEE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2020 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic in Union St from the north side of the junction with Yeaman Shore to the junction with Nethergate. The Order is operative for 26 weeks from 1/6/20 for Spaces for People, with a maximum duration of 18 months. Pedestrian access for residents and to businesses will be maintained. Vehicular access will be permitted for loading between 1600 hrs and 1100 hrs every day. Prohibition of Waiting will be in force for the duration of the Order. Alternative routes: northbound via Whitehall Cr, Whitehall St and Nethergate, and southbound via Nethergate, Crichton St and Whitehall Cr.
