On 4/6/19 the Council made the DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (ALEXANDER STREET AND JAMES STREET, DUNDEE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH AND PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2019 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will prohibit temporarily (1) all pedestrian traffic in the section of footpath on Alexander St (north side) between James St and Carnegie St from 7/6/19 and (2) all vehicular traffic in James St from its junction with Alexander St to its junction with North George St from 1/7/19. The Order is operative for 13 weeks from 7/6/19 for sewer works for a new housing development, with a maximum duration of 18 months. Alternative routes: (Pedestrians) via James St, North George St, Carnegie St and reverse and (Vehicular Traffic) via Alexander St, Carnegie St and reverse.
