On 14/11/17 the Council made the DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (CONSTITUTION STREET, DUNDEE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2017 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic in Constitution St (Phase 1) from Drummond St to Dons Rd and (Phase 2) Dons Rd to Hilltown. The Order is operative for 4 weeks from 20/11/17 for Scottish Water mains renewal works, with a maximum duration of 18 months. Each Phase is expected to last 2 weeks. The one-way Orders relating to Constitution Rd (Barrack Rd to Somerville Pl) and Upper Constitution St (Macaulay St to Somerville Pl) will be rescinded during Phase 1. Alternative route: Infirmary Brae, Barrack Rd, Constitution Rd, A991 North Marketgait, Victoria Way, Victoria Rd and Hilltown.
