On 25/7/17 the Council made the DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (DENS STREET, DUNDEE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2017 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic Dens St from its junction with Constable St to its junction with Princes St. The Order is operative for 56 weeks from 1/8/17 for hotel redevelopment works, with a maximum duration of 18 months. Alternative routes: northbound via Lower Princes St, Princes St, Albert St, Balmore St, Dura St, Maitland St, Arthurstone Tce, Princes St and King St and southbound via Lower Princes St, North Marketgait, Ladywell Roundabout, Victoria Rd, Dens Rd, Arthurstone Tce, Albert St and Princes St.
