DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL

(WIGTOWN BOOK FESTIVAL)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2021

Dumfries and Galloway Council has made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close South Main Street and various roads in Wigtown (New Road, North Main Street and Bank Street).

The timings are as follows:

South Main Street (spur outside County Building) - from 00:00 Monday 20^th September 2021 to 17:00 Monday 4^th October 2021.

Various roads in Wigtown (procession route: New Road, North Main Street and Bank Street) - from 19:30 hours to 21:00 hours Friday 24^th September 2021.

The closures are necessary to facilitate the Wigtown Book Festival and associated activities.

Alternative route is via South Main Street, North Main Street and vice versa.

During the road closures on Friday 24^th September 2021 drivers should expect delays for the duration of the procession.

Emergency vehicle access will be available if required.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
