The Dumfries and Galloway Council in exercise of their powers under section 16a of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close A714 Victoria Street/Albert St, Newton Stewart from 12:00 hours on 02/12/2012 to 19:00 hours on 02/12/2012.
The closure will be located at Junction with Goods Lane to the Clock Tower
The temporary closure is necessary for the switching on of the Christmas Lights and associated festivities
The alternative routes are Goods Lane & Riverside Road
Vehicular access will not be maintained
Pedestrian access will be maintained
