THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL) (VARIOUS STREETS, EDINBURGH) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION ON WAITING) AND (VARIOUS ROADS, EDINBURGH) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT JUNCTIONS) (VARIATION NO _) ORDER 201_ - TRO/17/72

Frogston Road West

Representations have been received from members of the public to extend waiting restrictions on Frogston Road West. Parked vehicles are obscuring sightlines contributing to unsafe driving manoeuvres. The extension of the 24 hour waiting restrictions at the location shown in the plan would result in enhancing road safety and assist vehicle and pedestrian movement.

 

Oxgangs Farm Avenue / Oxgangs Road North

Representations have been received from members of the public to install waiting restrictions on Oxgangs Farm Avenue. Parked vehicles are causing access issues for residents in the properties opposite and sightlines are being obstructed at the junction with Oxgangs Road North. The introduction of 24 hour waiting restrictions at the location shown in the plan would result in enhancing road safety and assist vehicle and pedestrian movement.

 

Oxgangs Farm Gardens / Oxgangs Farm Terrace / Oxgangs Farm Avenue

Representations have been received from Local Councillors, Police Scotland and members of the public to introduce waiting restrictions on Oxgangs Farm Gardens. Vehicles are parking on footways, blocking them completely forcing pedestrians to walk on a live carriageway. The inconsiderate parking is also a potential hazard for emergency services and refuse vehicles navigating the street. The introduction of 24 hour waiting restrictions as shown on the plan would result in enhancing road safety and assist vehicle and pedestrian movement.

 

Sighthill Gardens / Sighthill Loan / Sighthill Park

Representations have been received from members of the public and Primary School to install waiting restrictions on Sighthill Gardens at its junctions with Sighthill Loan and Sighthill Park. The introduction of 24 hour waiting restrictions at the location shown on the plan would result in enhancing road safety and assist vehicle and pedestrian movement.

 

Whitson Grove / Whitson Road / Whitson Walk

Representations have been received from local councillors and members of the public regarding the introduction of waiting restrictions in Whitson Grove.  Vehicles are parking on the corners of junctions obstructing sightlines and blocking access for pedestrians. The introduction of 24 hour waiting restrictions at the location shown in the plan would result in enhancing road safety and assist vehicle and pedestrian movement.
