Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named orders in terms of its powers under section 62(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, and section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 respectively.

The effect of the first order is to impose a prohibition of driving on all the roads on the schedule below from at the times stated on 4 May 2024.

Various alternative routes shall be available.

The second Order allows for the existing prohibitions of right turns from King Street, Aberdeen, on to West North Street, and from Holburn Street, Aberdeen, on to Willowbank Road to be suspended temporarily between 10:45 and 12:30 on 4 May 2024. At this time the existing prohibition of right turn from Skene Street, Aberdeen, onto Rosemount Viaduct, shall be suspended in respect of service busses. The one-way restriction on Exchequer Row, Aberdeen and Shiprow, Aberdeen, shall be suspended for the duration of this order.
From 07:00 until 13:00 on 4 May 2024, there will be a suspension of waiting, other than vehicles associated with the ATUC May Day Parade, on the north side of Albyn Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Carden Place and Rubislaw Place.

The measures are in the interests of safety: to allow the planned ATUC May Day Parade to take place safely.
