Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:30 on 1 April, 2024, until 24:00 on 12 April, 2024, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Belmont Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Little Belmont Street and Gaelic Lane. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. An alternative route is available via Back Wynd and Little Belmont Street. During this time the existing closure on Little Belmont Street and the no entry from Union Street on to Belmont Street shall be suspended. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during installation works by SSE.
