Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 on 6th April, 2024, until 17:00 on 19th April, 2024, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Countesswells Road, Aberdeen, from the boundary between numbers 169 and 171 Countesswells Road to the boundary between numbers 181 and 183 Countesswells Road. An alternative route is available via Airyhall Avenue, Craigton Road and Springfield Road
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of road.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during connection of new gullies into existing sewer work being carried out by Hunter Construction.
