Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order, which will operate from 09:00 on 7th May, 2024, until 06:00 on 8th May, 2024, is to impose a temporary one-way restriction on Queens Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Forest Road and Spademill Road. The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. An alternative route for eastbound vehicles is via Anderson Drive, Kings Gate and Forest Road
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of road.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of Forest Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Kings Gate to the boundary between number 72 and 74 Forest Road and also on the west side of St Swithin Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Union Grove and Union Grove Lane, to allow regular bus services to manoeuvre.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during ironwork repairs works being carried out by Scottish Water.
