Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 on 11th March, 2024, until 08:00 on 9th April, 2024, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following roads:
The restrictions will be carried out in phases, and phases 2 and 3 will not commence until the previous phase has been completed.
Phase 1 for approximately seven days; Prohibition of driving on Hope Farm Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions Hopetoun Grange to the unnamed track, which is 180 metres southwest of the junction. An alternative route is available via Chapel of Stoneywood-Fairley Road, Newhills Road, Kepplehills Road and A96 Inverurie Road and also on Rowett South Drive, Aberdeen, from its junction with Hope Farm Road to the entrance for the new site, which is a point 30 metres in a westerly direction. An alternative route is available via Hope Farm Road and Rowett South Road. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of roads.
Phase 2 for approximately seven days; Prohibition of driving on Hopetoun Grange, Aberdeen, from its junction with Hope Farm Road to the entrance for the car park, which is a point 20 metres in an easterly direction. An alternative route is available via Hope Farm Road, A96 Inverurie Road, Sclattie Roundabout and Sclattie Park. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of road.
Phase 3 for approximately fourteen days; Prohibition of driving on Hope Farm Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Rowett South Road and Hopetoun Grange An alternative route is available via A96 Inverurie Road, Sclattie Roundabout, Sclattie Park and Hopetoun Grange. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of road.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones.
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during utility laying works being carried out by GTC.
