Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a one-way restriction on Orchard Street, Aberdeen, between King Street and Spital. The permitted direction of travel will be Westbound only. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of the same stretch of carriageway for the duration of the works. There will also be a prohibition of Driving on Orchard Road, Aberdeen between number 4 Orchard Road and Orchard Street. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of the same stretch of carriageway. There will also be a prohibition of Driving on Orchard Place, Aberdeen between number 12 Orchard Place and Orchard Street. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of the same stretch of carriageway. There will be a prohibition of driving on Spital between junction with Sunnybank Road / Orchard Street and St Peter's Gate. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of the same stretch of carriageway. The Prohibition of Driving and Prohibition of waiting on Orchard Road, Orchard Place and Spital will be in place when required as works progress for a period during the works. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. The restrictions are in the interests of public safety during ACC fibre ducting works
