Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Cairn Crescent, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Cairn Park and Cairn Walk from 09:00 on 1st March, 2023, until 17:00 on 2nd March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Cairn Road, Baillieswells Road, Cairnlee Terrace and Cairnlee Avenue East; Kirkbrae Avenue, Aberdeen, from its junction with Kirkbrae View to the boundary between number 5 and 7 Kirkbrae Avenue from 09:00 on 6th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 7th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Kirk Brae, North Deeside Road and Cults Avenue; Kirkbrae Avenue, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 15 and 17 Kirkbrae Avenue to the entrance for numbers 21-29 Kirkbrae Avenue. from 09:00 on 8th March, 2023, until 17:00 on 9th March, 2023. An alternative route is available via Kirk Brae, North Deeside Road and Cults Avenue.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Fri; Broom Park, Cairn Crescent, Cairn Gardens, Cairnlee Avenue East, Craig Gardens, Earlswells Drive, Earlswells Place, Hilltop Avenue, Hilltop Road, Kirk Place, Kirkbrae Avenue, Manse Road, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 13th February, 2023, until 17:00 on 26th March, 2023.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
