Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Constitution Street, Aberdeen, from its junction with Bothwell Road to the car park entrance for Aberdeen Science Centre from 09:00 on 9th January, 2023, until 17:00 on 10th January, 2023. An alternative route is available via Links Road, Beach Boulevard, Justice Port Roundabout and Park Street. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of road; Bothwell Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Frater Place to the car park entrance between Nos 44 and 46/60 Bothwell Road from 09:00 on 11th January, 2023, until 17:00 on 12th January, 2023. An alternative route is available via Urquhart Road, Links Road and Constitution Street. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of road.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
