Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 on 6 December, 2022, until 20:00 on 7 December, 2022, is to close Canal Street, Aberdeen, between east boundary of 6 Canal Street to the west boundary of 10 Canal Street. An alternative route is available via Mounthooly, Kings Crescent, Jute Street and Canal Street. Also the existing one-way restriction shall be suspended. There will also be a prohibition of waiting for any purpose on either side of the same stretch of road. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
