Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to impose the following restrictions.
From 19:00 on 8 December 2022 until 06:00 on 9 December 2022, the following restrictions will be implemented in phases. Each phase will not commence until the previous phase has been completed. Phase 1; There will be a one-way restriction on Greenwell Road, Aberdeen, from the access to Aldi to Wellington Road. The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. There will also be a prohibition of right turn manoeuvres from Greenwell Road, Aberdeen, on to Wellington Road. Phase 2; Greenwell Road, Aberdeen, will be closed from Hillview Road to the Springfield Centre. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on the same stretch of road. Phase 3; Hillview Road, Aberdeen, will be closed from the Stagecoach depot to Jasmine. Phase 4; Hillview Road, Aberdeen, will be closed from Greenwell Road to the Stagecoach depot. Alternatives routes are available via Wellington Road, Greenbank Road, and Hillview Road and vice versa for stage 1, via Hillview Road and Greenbank Road for phase 2, via Greenwell Road and Greenbank Road for Phases 3 and 4.
From 22:00 on 9 December 2022 until 06:00 on 10 December 2022, there will be a one-way restriction on Wellington Road, Aberdeen, from Craigshaw Road to Abbotswell Road. The permitted direction of travel will be northbound only. There will also be a prohibition of right turn manoeuvres form Wellington Road on to Greenwell Road. Alternative routes are available via Abbotswell Road, and West Tullos Road, and via Greenbank Road and Hillview Road.
