Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Greenfern Place Lane West, Aberdeen, from its junction with Greenfern Road to a point 15 metres in a southerly direction from 09:00 until 17:00 on 10th August, 2022. An alternative route is available via Greenfern Road, Fernhill Drive and Arnage Drive. The one-way system on Greenfern Place Lane West, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Greenfern Road and Arnage Drive will be suspended to allow egress from properties; Lossie Place, Aberdeen, from its junction with Greenfern Road to a point 5 metres in a northerly direction from 09:00 on 17th August, 2022, until 07:00 on 20th August, 2022. An alternative route is available via Greenfern Road, Findhorn Place and Dulnain Road; Ness Place, Aberdeen, from its junction with Greenfern Road to a point 5 metres in a northerly direction from 09:00 on 17th August, 2022, until 07:00 on 20th August, 2022. An alternative route is available via Greenfern Road, Findhorn Place and Dulnain Road;
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible
There will also be a temporary one-way restriction on Greenfern Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Springhill Road and the western junction with Findhorn Place from 09:00 on 22nd August, 2022, until 17:00 on 23rd August, 2022.The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. An alternative route for eastbound vehicles is available via Springhill Road, Lang Stracht and Fernhill Drive.
There will be a prohibition of waiting on the following streets;
On either side of Upper Mastrick Way, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Provost Fraser Drive and Tay Road from 09:00 on 8th August, 2022, until 17:00 on 9th August, 2022; On the northside of Mastrick Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Upper Mastrick Way and Mastrick Junction from 09:00 on15th August, 2022, until 17:00 on 16th August, 2022; On either side of Greenfern Road, Aberdeen between its junctions with Lossie Place and Ness Place from 09:00 on 17th August, 2022, until 07:00 on 20th August, 2022; On either side of Greenfern Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Springhill Road and the western junction with Findhorn Place from 09:00 on 22nd August, 2022, until 17:00 on 23rd August, 2022.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
