Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary one-way restriction on Langdykes Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Altens Roundabout and Langdykes Drive from 09:00 on 5th March, 2022, until 07:00 on 6th March, 2022. The permitted direction of travel will be northbound only. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of the same stretch of road.
There will also be a temporary prohibition of right turns from Earns Heugh Road, Aberdeen to Langdykes Road, Aberdeen from 09:00 on 5th March, 2022, until 07:00 on 6th March, 2022.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of the following streets from 09:00 on 28th February, 2022, until 17:00 on 9th March, 2022;
The restriction will be carried out in phases, and phases 1,2 and 3 not commence until the previous phase has been completed.
Phase 1 for approximately three days Loirston Road between its junctions with Catto Crescent and Coast Road;
Phase 2 for approximately three days Coast Road between its junctions with Loirston Road and Falkland Avenue;
Phase 3 for approximately three days Falkland Avenue from its junction with Coast Road to the gable end of number 45 Falkland Avenue.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.

Alternative Route: An alternative route for southbound vehicles is available via Souterhead Road, Crawpeel Road, Hareness Road and Coast Road. An alternative route is available via Langdykes Road, Altens Roundabout, Souterhead Road, Crawpeel Road, Hareness Road and Coast Road.
