Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;

Fairview Brae, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Fairview Street and its northern junction with Fairview Drive; and Fairview Crescent, Aberdeen, between its eastern junction with Fairview Street and Fairview Walk from 08:00 on 22nd January, 2022, until 07:00 on 23rd January, 2022 and again from 08:00 on 5th February, 2022, until 07:00 on 6th February, 2022. Alternative routes are available via Fairview Street, Gordon Brae and Laurel Drive; and via Fairview Street and its western junction with Fairview Street; Fairview Crescent, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 15 and 17 Fairview Crescent to the boundary between number 21 and 23 Fairview Crescent from 08:00 on 18th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 19th January, 2022. An alternative route is available via Fairview Street; Fairview Drive, Aberdeen, from its northern junction with Fairview Brae to the boundary between number 3 and 5 Fairview Drive from 08:00 on 24th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 25th January, 2022. An alternative route is available via Fairview Brae and its southern junction with Fairview Brae; Fairview Drive, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 26 and 28 Fairview Drive to the boundary between number 32 and 34 Fairview Drive from 08:00 on 26th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 27th January, 2022.An alternative route is available via Fairview Brae; Fairview Brae, Aberdeen, between its southern junction with Fairview Drive and its southern junction Fairview Manor from 08:00 on 29th January, 2022, until 07:00 on 30th January, 2022. An alternative route is available via Fairview Street, Gordon Brae and Laurel Drive; Fairview Drive, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 261 and 263 Fairview Drive to the boundary between number 265 and 267 Fairview Drive from 08:00 on 31st January, 2022, until 17:00 on 1st February, 2022. An alternative route is

available via Fairview Brae; Fairview Manor, Aberdeen, from the entrance to numbers 8-24 Fairview Manor to the entrance to numbers 27-45 Fairview Manor from 08:00 on 8th February, 2022, until 17:00 on 9th February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Fairview Brae; Fairview Manor, Aberdeen, from its northern junction with Fairview Brae to the boundary between number 56 and 58 Fairview Manor from 08:00 on 10th February, 2022, until 17:00 on 11th February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Fairview Brae and its southern junction with Fairview Brae.

Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.

There will also be a temporary prohibition of traverse on the footpath Danestone Path from Fairview Brae to the footpath between number 75 and 77 Fairview Manor from 08:00 on 5th February until 17:00 on 6th February, 2022 and also from 08:00 on 12th February until 17:00 on 13th February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Fairview Brae and Fairview Manor.

There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Fairview Brae, Fairview Crescent, Fairview Drive, Fairview Manor, Fairview Street, Gordon Brae, Aberdeen from 17th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 15th February, 2022

Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.

The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
