Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following street;
Newburgh Circle, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 6 and 8 Newburgh Circle to the boundary between number 12 and 14 Newburgh Circle from 08:00 on 12th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 13th January, 2022. An alternative route is available via Newburgh Circle; Newburgh Circle, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 17 and 19 Newburgh Circle to the boundary between number 38 and 40 Newburgh Circle from 08:00 on 17th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 18th January, 2022. An alternative route is available via Newburgh Circle; Newburgh Circle, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 132 and 134 Newburgh Circle to the footpath between number 140 and 142 Newburgh Circle from 08:00 on 25th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 26th January, 2022. An alternative route is available via Newburgh Circle; Newburgh Circle, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 67 and 69 Newburgh Circle to the boundary between number 73 and 75 Newburgh Circle from 08:00 on 31st January, 2022, until 17:00 on 1st February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Newburgh Circle; Newburgh Circle, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 101 and 103 Newburgh Circle to the footpath between number 170 and 180 Newburgh Circle from 08:00 on 2nd February, 2022, until 17:00 on 3rd February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Newburgh Circle.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of Newburgh Circle between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat from 08:00 on 10th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 20th February, 2022.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
