Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Newburgh Drive, Aberdeen, from its junction with Newburgh Circle to the boundary between number 70 and 72 Newburgh Drive from 08:00 on 11th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 12th January, 2022. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Drive; Newburgh Drive, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 57 and 59 Newburgh Drive to the boundary between number 63 and 65 Newburgh Drive from 08:00 on 13th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 14th January, 2022. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Drive; Newburgh Drive, Aberdeen, from its junction with Newburgh Road to the boundary between number 35 and 37 Newburgh Drive from 08:00 on 18th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 19th January, 2022. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Drive; Newburgh Drive, Aberdeen, from its junction with Newburgh Crescent to the boundary between number 25 and 27 Newburgh Drive from 08:00 on 20th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 21st January, 2022. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Drive; Newburgh Drive, Aberdeen, from its junction with Newburgh Place to the boundary between number 17 and 19 Newburgh Drive from 08:00 on 24th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 25th January, 2022. An alternative route is available via Newburgh Crescent; Newburgh Crescent, Aberdeen, from its northern junction with Newburgh Drive to the boundary between number 104 and 106 Newburgh Crescent from 08:00 on 27th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 28th January, 2022. An alternative route is available via southern junction with Newburgh Drive; Newburgh Road, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 34 and 36 Newburgh Road to the boundary between number 39 and 41 Newburgh Road from 08:00 on 1st February, 2022, until 17:00 on 2nd February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Newburgh Drive; Newburgh Road, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 88 and 90 Newburgh Road to the eastern gable end of number 87 Newburgh Road from 08:00 on 3rd February, 2022, until 17:00 on 4th February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Newburgh Drive; Newburgh Road, Aberdeen, from the entrance to numbers 92-106 Newburgh Road to the entrance to numbers 108-126 Newburgh Road from 08:00 on 7th February, 2022, until 17:00 on 8th February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Newburgh Drive; Newburgh Road, Aberdeen, from its northern junction with Newburgh Drive to the boundary between the rear of number 46 Newburgh Drive and 150 Newburgh Road from 08:00 on 10th February, 2022, until 17:00 on 11th February, 2022. An alternative route is available via Newburgh Drive.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Newburgh Crescent, Newburgh Drive, Newburgh Place, Newburgh Road, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 10th January, 2022, until 17:00 on 20th February, 2022.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. Aberdeen City Council maintain the right to reduce this to 50m on any site should they see it as necessary to maintain public safety/access.
